Update macOS in System Settings

Apple provides free updates to macOS. To check and apply any pending update to your computer, select the System Settings... command under the Apple menu:

In the Settings window, select the General category and click on the Software Update sub-category:

Your Mac will connect to Apple’s services and allow you to apply any updates that are compatible with your configuration. For the safest, most reliable user experience, we recommend that you leave Automatic Updates On:
