Using Drop Zones

Drop Zones are placeholders often seen in Titles & Generators. You can assign your own clips, images or graphics to a Drop Zone.

It is very important to select the correct range of frames before assigning media to a Drop Zone.

The process should be as follows:

1) Locate the media you wish to assign to a Drop Zone among existing Events in your Library.

If the media has not been imported to your Library yet, make sure to do that before proceeding to the next step.

2) Expand or contract the selection (in yellow) to the desired playback range:

This playback range is what will ultimately be used by the effect.

Failure to do so may result in having the wrong portion of your media fed to the Drop Zone, or perhaps only an insufficient portion of the media. Make sure the length of your playback range is at least as long as the effect, or else the video will freeze on its last frame for the remainder of the effect.

3) Click on the Drop Zone to allow you to assign media to it:

4) Click the media as it appears in your browser.

It is preferable not to assign clips that are located on the timeline for reasons covered in one of the video tutorials below.

5) Click "Apply Clip" to confirm the assignment:

6) The Drop Zone will now show your media, feeding the selected playback range to the effect:
